The Cornish Bible Project

This is run under the joint auspices of the Cornish Language Board and the Bishop of Truro’s Ecumenical Advisory Group on Cornish-language Services.  Its aim is to publish a Cornish New Testament to mark the centenary in 2004 of Henry Jenner’s Handbook of the Cornish Language, which is generally regarded as the start of the language revival.  Besides the New Testament, work also continues on the Old Testament.  Fourteen translators are at present involved (six on the New Testament).  All work is based strictly on the original Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek texts.  Several Biblical books have already been published as booklets.  For further information about the project please visit its website at: http://www.bibelkernewek.com
